How do I get a switch with multiple interfaces for basic network learning? L2 switch comes in with GNS3 build in: all 8 ports are in access vlan 1. GNS3 has its own forum where u can find some answers.
If thats the case then yes it does but its just a generic switching device, not a cisco one. Not sure what you mean by i need a l3 switch but ill go to the gns forum. I call it L3 since u can do both l2 and l3.
Have you tried have a play around with Packet Tracer? Unless theres a quick command that will turn off all L3 functionality? I haven't tried the packet tracer but what Im trying to do is just build some random networks and play with all sorts of configurations and services mostly routing and switching but all the other stuff in the exam too.
I want to randomly shut things down or mis-configure here and there to see what kind of behavior it causes etc. Id love to just use real equipment but unfortunately the cost is not doable. It is usually the other way around you have to turn on layer 3 functionality.
